• MoTs
    T-shirts from M.o.T.s
Jewish-themed t-shirts for "Members of the Tribe." For sale at wearmots.com. The goal was to create Jewish t-shirts that were bold and iconic and unlike anything I'd seen in Jewish bookstores and catalogs. Some of the jokes and references in the designs are somewhat obscure, which adds to the "insider" cache of the brand.
  • NCSY
    Shabbat Makes Me Happy t-shirt
Designed for the NCSY youth group's west coast convention. The shirt was a huge hit with a couple thousand-odd Jewish high schoolers who loved the translation of a religious message into a stylish graphic tee.
  • Jewish World Watch
    Jewish World Watch
Proposed t-shirt design for Darfur advocacy group Jewish World Watch's annual "Walk to End Genocide."
  • PresenTense
    PresenTense Institute
T-shirt for PresenTense Institute's summer entrepreneurship program. Their slogan, "From daring shall come the reward," is a quote from the book of Samson, in which it refers to the honeycomb Samson finds in the mouth of the lion he kills. I approprirated the imagery of the ferocious lion and juxtaposed it with dynamic bee trails to create a design that reflected the forward-thinking sensibilities of the Institute.
  • Grease
    T-shirt for "Grease"
Produced by Quadramics for their theatrical production of "Grease" during the Spring Fling music festival. I love the way the illustration looks in two colors printed on the shirt. The show info is on the back.
  • Death and the Maiden
T-shirt for "Death and the Maiden"
For the theatrical production. The play, by Ariel Dorfman, follows a woman who had been raped while her captor played a piece by Schubert entitled "Death and the Maiden." The graphic of guns on a staff encapsulates the haunting violence underscoring the play. The show info is on the back.
